How do you combine work and self-development?

Hello! I would like to hear your advice on personal time management.
The fact is that I work as the head of a product company, and I often try to plan my schedule and tasks for the day in advance (both for projects and for self-development).
For example: to improve skills in English, programming, etc.
But given the specifics of the work and the need to solve urgent unplanned tasks and issues, as a result, my self-development planning is often postponed “for later”. This can't go on any longer, and I'd like to know how you deal with it?!
Thanks in advance for the replies!

Yes, just like you manage workflows:
If there is no time / effort / information / something else, then task number 1 is to free up or replenish the missing resources. If they are up to the eyeballs in their work, it means that it's time to reflect on the way of your life.

Leave a leadership position, get a job as a security guard, they have a lot of free time to pump any skills

It is good to work during the day, and not to deal with personal matters at the expense of the employer.
Then after work there will be time for self-education.

I recommend reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. If you haven't read it yet, you can learn a lot about time management, delegation, planning, prioritization... Plus a lot of other useful things that are not related to your question.
