How do world programming champions prepare?
The question, of course, is a little silly, but still I would like to know how Olympiad students are trained in such universities as ITMO or St. Petersburg State University?
It is not by chance that these universities are of interest, because they show the best results at international programming competitions (among Russian universities). What literature do you study during preparation? What sections of mathematics are given? How do they train? And where or how can one go deeper in the direction of Olympiad programming?

Itmo is trying to recruit talented guys who have already proven themselves in the Olympiads.
They study in depth discrete mathematics, algorithms, data structures. Practice contests are held weekly. Teachers with extensive experience in this field, such as Andrey Stankevich, play a very important role.
