How do Wi-Fi devices communicate with each other over long distances?

Good afternoon!
It is necessary to organize a connection between the two buildings via a Wi-Fi channel. Accordingly, it is planned to purchase access points with powerful antennas (the distance is 100 meters, but there are many trees). As an option, we are thinking of using UBIQUITI NanoStation NSM5, but this is not important.
The question is this: if on the one hand there is a powerful access point (similar to the one above), and on the other a regular wi-fi router, is communication possible? Those. a powerful access point will transmit a signal to the router, it will accept it, process it and everything is fine. But when it sends back a signal, will it reach the access point?

Not so long ago, I made it easier, used the closest building in the line of sight, in which there is a provider with a normal connection, took air from him, and connected the buildings via vpn.

The signal must be equal in both directions. for example, my version.
there are two tp-link cpe210
there is no line of sight. presses about 30 megabits per second. the base point once a week regularly reboots itself according to the schedule.
your 100 meters is a prank if you lift above the trees.
although I will give you hard-won advice. get the micros!!! pr poor communication with the other side ... they are excellent administrators! and webmords hang often. annoying.

put directional Wifi antennas - the channel will be both more stable and faster, and your neighbors will not clog the range with your megawatts.
profit
