How do short names work in Firefox?

I'm trying to set up a search in the address bar, I add a bookmark
https: //www.avito.ru/ moskva ?bt=1&s=1&q=%s with an alias "a",
and a search like: "a laptop" redirects to
https: / /www.avito.ru/ rossiya ?q=laptop
Who can tell me what could be wrong?

Hmmm, if there is a similar search in the "off" state, then for some strange reason it "interrupts" the search from the bookmarks.
The remedy is to change the alias of the search.
But! in this case, the search for "https: //www.avito.ru/moskva?bt=1&s=1&q=%s" returns
page 404
Moreover, updating (!) This page shows the desired (!) result
Some kind
of nonsense Update2 : If you add "short name for search" exclusively through the context menu , then a bookmark is created with an address like " https://www.avito.ru/search ", but when using its alias, all keys (moskva?bt=1&s=1&q=) "from where then" are substituted and everything works. I still don't understand the principle
