Is there anything that can be done about the speed of Firefox on macOS?

Hello everyone
MBP 2015/macOS/Firefox is terribly slow browser, even when nothing is running. As if after a while it "accelerates", but there are hard blunts. Is there any way to make it smoother?

you can try https://www.waterfoxproject.org/ it is faster.
although a fox is also a fox in Africa.

Try to create a clean profile , do not install any extensions there and go to the test page (which slowed down under the old profile). If the brakes have disappeared, then the problem is not in FF itself, but in your old profile (perhaps some extension slows down, for example).
