How do IPv4, HTTPS, Socks5, Socks4 proxies differ from each other and which one is better?
I read information on the Internet, something in general did not clear up the picture.
And the second question: what is the difference between a proxy and a VPN? Do I understand correctly that a proxy is aimed at some program, one. And VPN - on all computer or all browser?
PS: Please, if possible, answer in a non-technical language, but in a simpler way

IPv4, IPv6 is the "appearance" of the proxy - 134.43.23.132 or 2001:0DB8:AA10:0001:0000:0000:0000:00FB
HTTP(s), Socks5, Socks4 is the name of the protocol through which
VPN proxies work - this is as if you are uniting with a remote computer in one network, the thing is flexible, but it is difficult to use as a proxy, because when connecting a VPN, you are given 1 ip, and for parsing, you may need many. To use a VPN as a proxy, you need a constant reconnect "on a kick" from the software, plus the overhead of reconnection.
Which is better:
Socks4 - already outdated
Socks5 standard - more anonymous proxy option than http(s) - it will be harder for the site you are scraping to understand that you are behind a proxy
http(s) - accordingly, a less anonymous version of the proxy, it is easier to detect
IPv4 is supported by all sites, IPv6 is far from all, through IPv6 proxies you can connect only to a very limited circle of popular sites that are concerned about supporting the new standard.
