How do I embed images in a post?

Hello!
I am writing a publication and I cannot insert images into it, i.e. I specify the path to the image on the hard drive, click "preview", and the images in the publication are not displayed. Tell me I bark wrong.

images should be uploaded to photo hosting, then paste the link in the field
