How difficult is it to make an audio system that will choose how many audio channels it will receive?
Gentlemen of electronics, I have a question.
There was news recently where about 1000 JBL wireless speakers were connected to one source. Questions:
1) Are there chips available on the market that allow you to make bluetooth audio receivers that can be simultaneously connected to one source and play sound on them simultaneously?
2) Do these chips allow you to choose how many sound channels the speaker will receive and which ones to play.
For example One speaker is connected as a mono sound source. Two are visible as a source of stereo sound and you can adjust which one is left and which is right?

As far as I remember, bluetooth doesn’t really like so many connections.
I can offer another option, take an independent transmitter that will simply broadcast into the air without any connections, like a radio, and who wants to - he accepts
Take VS1003 as a codec. NRF24L01 will do
as a receiver and transmitter
It’s better to have an antenna on the transmitter, on receivers you can breed it with ceramic SMD, it depends on distances and terrain, but it should be enough, in extreme cases, you can stick an amplifier on the transmitter.
At the expense of channels, here you need to put one NRF24L01 on 2 speakers, in MP3 format it is written where R and L, and VS1003 itself knows how to give sound where it needs to
