How close to the engine (and its candles) can gps be done so that there is no interference?

Complex issue. Depends on placement. If possible, at least the antenna should be placed, in principle, away from massive metal objects. The candle is inside a heavy metal object (cylinder block), and its influence factor is unlikely to cause any serious interference. Although from the side of the engine and wires, I think a screen would not hurt (both for the antenna and for the receiver).

The GPS signal is quite immune to interference, unless, of course, you need geodetic accuracy.
But counting interference in the mind is, of course, a thankless task. The module itself is on the screen, and then check in practice, perhaps - take the antenna.
