How can you test Universe for SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence?

Hello,
Can you please tell me how can I test Universe for SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence?
So far, this option is being considered:
1. Create a report (1 report = 1 fact + 1 dimension).
2. Prepare a benchmark report.
3. Compare them.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 for all possible pairs (Fact, Measurement).
The problem is that in this case the number of reports will go into the hundreds, perhaps even into the thousands.
This leads to the following questions:
1. How or with what can you automate steps 1-4 for Excel reports?
2. How or with what can you automate steps 1-4 for Web reporting?
3. How else can you test Universe?
