How can you tell if an element's property has been successfully updated?

CIBlockElement::SetPropertyValuesEx returns null and CIBlockElement::Update cannot be changed ["PROPERTIES"]. How can you tell if an element's property has been successfully updated?

The answer is obvious: get the value of the element's property via CIBlockElement::GetProperty and compare.
