How can you speed up/optimize/make data entry less routine?
Good afternoon.
The operator enters the same type of data every day several dozen times. He simply types on the keyboard into forms with the number of fields from 10 to 30. The data itself is either copied and pasted from text files, or from Excel, or some other files. Naturally, this becomes an incredibly tedious and sometimes even hated operation.
Are there any other ways to enter data? For example, to generate files of a certain format, arrange them into folders and feed the root folder to the application, and it itself will parse the files and substitute them in the required fields. Or is the formation of such files essentially the same routine, only a side view?
The application where the operator enters data is self-written and can be changed.

Yes, it's easy, we convert excel to csv and feed it to the program - it parses all the data according to the rules and you're done. Nothing more can be said without languages and examples.
What data is entered by the operator, what subject area? In general, this can be automated, but more details are needed.
PS for example, I had to automate the filling of questionnaires for a loan broker
1. Are there any dependencies between the data? If not, skip step 2
2. Automate the calculation of dependent data and enter only independent data
3. Can your software handle import from xls/xlsx/csv?
4. How does this data appear in the files from which you take it? If possible, it would be nice to automatically pick them up directly from the source (parse / import)
5. Do you really need the entire amount of this data?
6. And to outsource for 5,000 rubles / month?
