- Sleep at least 10 hours a day.
- in the morning and before going to bed - a mug of natural coffee.
- before going to bed, do not work with your head, do not watch TV, it is better to take a walk, play with the children (fuck your wife or girlfriend), etc ... Start the morning with a hearty breakfast and physical activity for half an hour (at least a banal exercise)
- give at least 2 hours a day for training or non-standard tasks (if you are a programmer, learn how to build a Russian stove or honor Kazantsev's "Bubbling Void" with an understanding of the mathematical part, for example).
- Do not drink alcohol stronger than kefir. Generally.

From my own experience, I can say that physical activity is exactly what the body and brain lack for active work.
As someone from Habr already wrote somewhere, mental energy is drawn from physical energy. If the body is frail, then the thinker does not work well.
I used to think that playing sports is a waste of time. And so there’s not enough for anything, and then there’s training every day - generally pipets. However, only half an hour of running a day increased the working capacity for two hours (I began to sleep and rest less) + productivity, if not increased, then became constant.
So I advise everyone: at least 2-3 times a week, or you can run more often, play tennis, badminton or something else

Mental labor must be combined with physical labor.
Therefore, if the gopniks caught up, think about the right words and expressions.
But seriously, they say that glycine somehow helps. His students before the session eat more often than smoke.

The brain is man's best friend!
If you fully nourish it (he knows how to tell what he needs), load it in various ways, do not overload it constantly, but periodically and give it a rest, it will delight you in the evenings for many years.
It is better not to use substances that seriously affect its work without a specialist and preliminary tests. And even better - do not use it at all - self-regulation rules.
And remember that the basis of any logic is intuition. That only a small part of the brain can be consciously downloaded. Well, and so on - be friends with your brain and it will answer you a hundredfold.

improve memory - learn poetry, read
attention, thinking - oddly enough, play logic games, solve puzzles
To improve something, you need training, nothing just happens.

Sugar during intensive work. And workouts.
Glycine is generally a placebo, a pheno-something is suitable if there are violations of the physiological plan.
There are drugs that are administered intramuscularly or intravenously. Requires a course of treatment. The result of a tangible “I began to remember better” will not be. Just an improvement in brain function that cannot be noticed.
Of the banned and military, I don’t know anything, perhaps there is something that will give a noticeable effect. So far, apart from ordinary sugar, I haven’t seen anything like that (including several times a course of treatment with cerebralysin, which just needs to be injected).

Phenibut. But there is no drinking for more than a month - the body gets used to it.
A good way to improve memory is to remember the whole day in the evening - now you woke up, what followed.

Go to a good Psychoneurologist \ Neurologist \ Psychotherapist and consult. Phenotropil as an option, but again, without consulting the above, it is better not to start.
In general, everything is as usual: healthy sleep, good mood, walks 5 km a day and regular sex. Good luck :)

About glycine and tincture of Eleutheracoccus have already been said. These are good, proven tools.
From myself I will advise - carnitone (you can use any remedy containing Carnitine L). The tool improves performance quite well, without getting used to it.
Carniton is easy to get and cheap. Enough 2 tablets per day.
By the way, eleutherococcus tincture and carniton together increase potency quite well, i.e. extra plus.

Descend or go better to the doctor, even to the psychologist and consult. It is not known how the body will react to everything that was advised here. It's like pouring urine on your head, and then dripping some kerosene on your eyes.
Getting LSD is not as problematic as it seems, but in your version, you will end up in a hospital and it’s not a fact that you can return to normal life.

Piracetam. Students are usually advised.

S
SystemPanic, 2011-04-13
@SystemPanic

My current set:
• Alphabet vitamins;
• fish fat;
• piracetam;
• glycine.
Piracetam (like phenotropil) - increases aggressiveness. If you "drink" with glycine, you can reduce the effect to nothing. There are many different brands on sale, the names are also different (piracetam, nootropil, etc.).
Piracetam is cheap, but less effective and “inserts” not immediately, but after some time. Each in its own way, usually after a week a stable effect. Over time it will most likely fade away. You may get tired of swallowing capsules.
Phenotropil is more nuclear, it works very well, but the price is (~ 300-350 for 10 tablets).
And, of course, physical activity, the best thing is running, to disperse the blood throughout the body. Plus a contrast shower and periodic warm-ups, including for the eyes. It is also necessary to be in the sun more often, the apartment is regularly ventilated. In general, the standard set, in fact.

Smart people advise not to overload the brain beyond measure and give it a variety of writing. I heard advice up to the fact that sometimes there is a left hand - because. the other hemisphere of the brain is responsible for the left half of the body, so you can rebalance the load a little :)
About chemistry. I periodically (I try no more than a course a year) take gliatilin or mexidol - when I can’t endure it anymore. It makes sense to take not single doses, but to keep the recommended course. According to my personal estimates, Mexidol gives a more noticeable effect, but apparently it is individual here. I advise everyone to do as I will not - the brain is a complex device, and without consulting doctors, I would not do such experiments, especially according to reviews on the Internet. I have doctors in my family, it's easier for me :)

A
Alexey, 2011-04-13
@Sterhel

In addition to the mentioned drugs - nootropil (essentially the same piracetam with "additives", apparently, it is absorbed better with them).
Pharmacodynamics By
a direct effect on the brain, it improves such cognitive (cognitive) processes as learning ability, memory, attention, and mental performance. It affects the central nervous system in various ways: by changing the rate of propagation of excitation in the brain, improving metabolic processes in nerve cells and microcirculation, affecting hemorheological characteristics (does not have a vasodilating effect). It inhibits platelet aggregation and restores the configuration properties of the outer membrane of rigid erythrocytes, as well as the ability of the latter to pass through the vessels of the microvasculature.

And so - everything is as always, healthy nutrition, drink more water (not tea-coffee-juices-piiiiiiva, namely water), more vitamins, physical activity (athletics personally helps me, coupled with a 40 kg barbell), if I really have to sit at a computer for 10 hours at work - at least ventilate often. Dilute the reading of professional literature - fiction. Try to master a couple of new skills - from wood carving to drawing, playing the guitar, and so on ...
As for music and the positive influence of classical and instrumental - it certainly exists, but it affects everyone in different ways, it sets someone in a working mood , and someone will take a nap for half an hour.

Gibson_zel, 2012-06-14

Gentlemen, you can improve brain activity by any means, but it is the long-term that is important.
Most of the substances have a sharp and temporary effect, which, with constant use, leads only to impaired brain activity. The best, IMHO, way is to train observation, attention to detail, logic and solving puzzles of varying complexity (from children's to solving crimes).
The ability to quickly and efficiently solve non-standard work tasks also activates the brain well.
By the way, about substances, earlier, I don’t know how it is now, there were such “Huato Boluses” - they prevented strokes and normalized pressure in the brain. A side effect with a small intake is the flow of oxygen into the vessels of the brain and the removal of toxic substances that accumulate over time.
But I do not recommend =)
