How can ubuntu set up applications to run on a specific desktop?
Hello. Here I want to figure out how to implement the launch of applications only within the same desktop. Ideally, at the start of Ubuntu, applications would be launched in certain desktops, in certain positions of the screen and with certain window sizes.

Your WM should be able to do this. Previously, KWin from KDE definitely had such a feature, but somewhere around the 4th sneaker it seemed to be cut out from there.
See the settings of the WM you are using.
I have KDE 4 (Mint 17), there is such a thing, Kwin can do it, a lot of parameters for windows
compizconfig (ccsm) basically has such settings in the window hosting module (window management section).
