How can layout designers make websites on retina displays?

I apologize for a possibly stupid question, but I don’t quite understand how to typeset if you have, say, a macbook?
How will a person with a monitor with a normal pixel density see the site you made? Will it be too small for him or vice versa large?
Thanks in advance for your reply!
PS I'm new to the toaster, so don't throw tomatoes at me))

I have a "retinist" MVR - I don't bother with typesetting. Here we must remember that just a screen with double the pixel density. The same media classes in css are calculated as in the case of a normal display. The 2560 pixels of the 13-inch retina are indistinguishable for browsers with the base 1280 pixels of the regular TVR.

@dpmango

make icons as svg
images as img(src="img.jpg" srcset="[email protected] 2x")
And everyone will be happy :)

Retina increases the clarity of the image (website, application, etc), and not their linear size.
