How can I register my domain?

Hello! As I understand it, this company can distribute domains , but having climbed the site, I did not find a place where I could register a domain. Then I found a registrar , but then the domains are paid ... And here the question arose. So registrars just take domains for free and sell them? Or do they buy them? Although here , from the theory, it generally turns out that whoever wants to register domains in any quantity can register them?
Thank you.

@Hcuy

They do not work with smerds, and even with legal entities.
I'll tell you the terrible news 80% of people who read it to the end ......;)
The Internet is private and has a physical owner (moreover, it has physical shutdown keys), just like domain names also own them, the same google.com domain only rented, and if they don't renew it, they'll take it back. Local, of course, everything will work, but there is no Internet
And no one is going to give them to you for free;)
Capitalism is epta.
Then I found a registrar, but then domains

Domain zones are sold to states, for example RU, the state accredits resellers with their official list and there are, in my opinion, there are about 28 of them now, it's easy to find.
And all the rest is resale after resale.
in general, you will need to buy a domain.
If you are talking about a level 2 domain (the level behind counts), and lately even a level 1 can be bought, there is something like 180K greenery.
If we talk about 3-level domains, for example www.site.ru, then this is already a free domain, and if you have a site.ru domain, then you distribute any level above 2 yourself (by the way, you can sell them if someone buys)
So registrars just take domains for free and sell them?

And yes for free and yes they sell, baby capitalism.
Although here, from the theory, it generally turns out that whoever wants to register domains in any quantity can register them?

there is no physical limit on the repetition of characters.
And yes, the bourgeoisie has the opportunity to cut down both DNS and kick us out of TCP / IP and even broadcasters.
