How can I painlessly connect bootstap to a Yii project?

Now we are developing one project in yii (2 programmers are working, me and my colleague). And so the question arose - How can you painlessly connect bootstap to the project if the project is already done by 30-40 percent? What do you advise? What is the best way to connect the yii-bootstap extension or naked bootstrap?
I think I can just download bootstrap and include it, and not the right way through extensions... I really want to hear your opinion...

Naked. There were a number of bugs in the extension that promise long dances with a tambourine in an attempt to implement what is required, followed by a transition to naked.

I was in a similar situation, only the project was 100% ready, it was only necessary to ennoble the admin panel.
From yii-bootstrap, you need to get form widgets, the rest is not really needed.

If you are not using bootstrap related widgets then just include as css. (In Yii2, bootstrap is built into the core and widgets use it).
If your project is divided into frontend and backend, then you can split it - here is a bootstrap, and here is a non-bootstrap

What module would you recommend? There are different modules. And with the newest Bootstrap FM. Because some are not updated (version < 3).
