There are many such files. They need to be viewed somehow, but when viewed through the file manager, the OS reports that preview is not available for this type of file, and when the OS menu item “Open with” is selected, there are no applications that can open this file. The option with adding an extension is not suitable. It is necessary to open it this way, and there are several reasons for this, which, I think, are not interesting to you.
