How can I make all links open in a new tab instead of a window?

Tell me how in the browser (google chrome or yandex - it doesn’t matter) - make it so that when you open a link - sometimes there are just pop-up windows - you have to work in the oki-toki system (but it’s just like that, digression) - so that everything opened in a new tab and not a window (i.e. so that the second copy of the browser does not open?
Mozilla has instructions on how to do this ... but it doesn’t fit, you need chrome ... but I don’t know how to implement it in chrome or Yandex like this (although I'm pretty sure it's possible.)

Does anyone know? please advise.
here's what I found for mozilla - it only works fine in mozilla.. change
the settings in about:config
browser.link.open_newwindow (Integer) How to open links that specify new windows to open. Values:
1 - Open in current tab
2 - Open in new window
3 - Open in new tab
browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction (Integer) - Allows you to open tabs instead of new windows. Values:
0 - open all links in tabs
1 - Open links in windows
2 - Open links in tabs except when non-standard window options are set (for example, resizing)
