How can I link Yii2 with OpenCart2?

Hello.
On the Yii2 framework, it is planned to create a system for processing orders for IM on OpenCart2. She will need to be able to access store data such as products, orders, delivery types, customers, etc. Actually, the question is how to make such an integration? The very first thing that comes to mind is to create your own models in Yii2, duplicate the logic from OC in them and connect them to an existing OC database. Another option is to use the Opencart API instead of a database. Perhaps there are already some ready-made solutions, or there is no point in pulling Yii2 here and it is better to refine the functionality of the store? I would like to know the opinions of experts on this matter.

order processing system for IM

What do you have in mind?
in opencart you can create the same models.
In my opinion, it's easier to add what you need on opencart.

Actually the question is how to make such an integration?

a common database, simpler and optimal if you do not plan to update cms or are sure that the database structure will not change. Otherwise API.
who knows what you are planning to do. "a system for processing orders" is about nothing. Google of options.
To what account? How to determine a development tool without technical specifications? Experts don't do that. At least a brief. Cannot select framework for "something about crm"
