How can I implement a photo gallery from a shared network folder on FreeBSD?
Can you please tell me how to implement a photo gallery from a shared network folder on FreeBSD?
Given: server on FreeBSD, Apache, MySQL, Samba and a network folder where many difficult photos are put. Photos are in folders. Viewing all photos over the network (through explorer) is slow. Sketches take a long time to load, especially on computers with Wi-Fi.
I would like: to have an internal corporate page, where a powerful server will show thumbnails of the photos available in these folders. A kind of ACDSee-online. From Wishlist - sorting by shooting dates (from EXIF), thumbnail caching, rating photos on a 3-5-point scale, renaming folders and photos, deleting, moving.
Except Gallery2 or Gallery3

You can go to Files/archive/2 and see how it works. I also know how to edit. Can't give ratings.
In the process, I discovered a very useful console utility that does a great job of auto-tinting and contrasting images. The author of the idea is a genius!
you can process the entire folder of photos. And she absolutely, IMHO, does not spoil them.
