How can Habr's data analysis be used to model the behavior of Russian society?

Will the patterns revealed by Habr's data analysis be applicable to modeling the behavior of Russian society (or society as a whole). What is the real potential, scope of such an analysis, and what could be the disadvantages and difficulties of such modeling? Is it possible to compare cultural characteristics (and which ones) in different regions, what methods can be used for this?

It won’t work. Habr is too narrow an audience on the scale of even our country with its own specific features that are not characteristic of the general masses.

Even the analysis of the data of the entire Runet will not give a representative picture, IMHO. "The survey showed that 100% of visitors to example.com have Internet access."

We have already written about the unrepresentativeness of the sample, this is understandable, unless you are interested in "the ratio of the popularity of C ++ to php in the Volga region." In general, what data about Habr visitors are you going to use to identify cultural characteristics?
For such research, information from some social network would be more suitable, there the contingent is more diverse, and there is more data about people.

depends on the context of the analysis.
For example, in the context of a reaction to a novelty (a new phone model), it is possible to extrapolate (the main coefficients are to choose;).
Or an indicator of tolerance, depreciation, or to identify the state of the market in terms of readiness to accept something new ... it seems to me that it is possible through habr.
