How can an absolute beginner write a bot for VKontakte?

Hello.
I want to write a bot for my VKontakte community. I programmed for the last time at school in Pascal. I learned html/css a couple of years ago. I would like not to use ready-made solutions, but to learn API, methods and all this with some kind of programming language using the old school. Advise how, from your point of view, it is better to do: dive into endless googling in relation to my task, or first learn at least a little bit of programming? :) What language and what codecademy should I start with? I note that in general I am not very eager to dig into programming, but I realize that most likely in the case of a bot this is necessary :)

For learning, I advise Python, as, in my opinion, the simplest programming language. Still, it is not for nothing that Pascal is being replaced by them now in schools.
You can send a request in one line, or use a ready-made library for vk, and in general, Python's syntax is very easy to understand.
