How are mobile apps made?

Please tell us how mobile applications are made on Swift. I just don't really understand - is the backend also written on it or on php for example?

The backend is written on anything. If the site has a front-end in javascript, this does not mean that the back-end should also have javascript, with mobile applications in the same way.
