How are links to a file formed in bitrix?

path_x is taken from table b_file (iblock/9ef), where does "path_y" come from?
In general, the task is as follows: there is a picture for each product with a description of the product, how to embed them in batches in Bitrix?
I'm thinking of implementing a separate script to load a picture and add a description to the corresponding table cells, but I didn't find how the paths to the file are formed

The pictures themselves are in upload/path_x/path_y/name_pic.jpg
and what is in resize_cache/bla-bla-bla is generated automatically by a script that resizes the main pictures. So for new pictures you will find a way until Bitrix does it himself :)
Why is such a flexible system like Bitrix not without flaws?
