How are digital keys for video games purchased, how does this market work?

I recently wrote to one of the suppliers who told me that digital keys are not sold in bulk, but rather provided through an affiliate program.

But on a job search site, one of the online stores came across a vacancy for a Purchaser with the following competencies:

1. creating orders for digital keys
2. negotiations with suppliers
3. analysis of prices and sales
4. search for new suppliers and monitoring the availability of goods

Additionally, communication skills in English and pricing are needed

As far as I know, there are 4 official distributors in Russia (and as stated, this company works with them )

Based on the information posted in this vacancy, it can theoretically be concluded that the keys are not purchased in Russia, which is a little strange for me, because distributors (according to my information) license content in Russia.

So far, I do not have a holistic understanding of this process

study the employer - is it just from Ebay for the non-Russian market - in Spanish for LatAmerica, prices are often lower than in Russia / CIS
