How are delegation terms calculated when transferring a domain to another registrar?

Actually, there were two domains: one in the .com zone on godaddy, the second in the .com zone for timeweb. Both transferred to namecheap.com and I look at the following information during the transfer: they say, an annual transfer. Explain, please: there was something about 9 years on one domain, on the other, the lease term ended this year. When transferring, everything will remain with namecheap with 10 and 2 years, respectively, or are they transferred only for 1 year, and then they return back with the terms that the registrars had?
