How and where to study frontend development?

Hello! I read a lot of reviews about various online schools (geek-brains, skill-box, Yandex workshop) and others, and almost all the reviews are negative, they boil down to the fact that this is a waste of time and money! Where then and how does one learn front-end and programming languages? It turns out that there is nothing to choose from. All schools and courses are fake and do not cost money. Only read books on your own, as many advise, but then what about feedback and the absence of a reviewer and mentor? Maybe someone knows worthwhile coursesthat really "work"?

Indeed, there is a lot of information, you need to be able to filter it, but unfortunately the technology stack that a developer should know is very large even for a junior (as I understand it).
Here is a site map with footnotes to resources, I think it will be relevant, it came in for me.
In general, I’ll say from personal experience that videos, courses, books are not bad, but development is a practical discipline and you need to develop your cognitive abilities, and it works like this, you write, it didn’t work out, you look for solutions, it turned out, it was postponed in the subcortex, this is the most effective method, and all the information can be pulled from mdn or from the documentation, it is there in abundance.

As an option, there is now a set of https://docs.rs.school/#/js-fe-course (start September 6). The courses are free, you have to study mostly on your own, the dropout is large - at the end of the year, 10-12% will receive an invitation to other places. It's hard from scratch. But you can go to them every six months.
