How and how to measure storage utilization?
There is an article on Habré on disposal of storage systems , but they use a utility of their own design. Is there any product that will allow you to measure the same parameters on the storage system?

If this is an industrial storage system, then most likely you will have to use the utility that is provided by the vendor. In addition, any storage system has a simple monitoring interface that will show all these parameters in real time. The history of data is usually stored there from 5 minutes to a maximum of 1 hour (at least on those storage systems with which I worked).
If you want to pull this data into your monitoring somewhere, with the ability to set triggers and events based on triggers, then in the case of industrial storage systems, pain and humiliation await you, since they do not give this information via SNMP. Either there will be some vendor monitoring product (but not everyone does it), or with the help of a crowbar and such and such a mother (parse files with statistics, as, for example, had to be done on the IBM Storwize v7000), or remove the download directly from those consumers (servers) that are connected to the storage system and use its disks. But in the latter case, as you understand, there will be no overall picture, since each host receives its own part of the resources and generates a different load.
