How accurate should layout be?
Quite often, in video tutorials on layout, I see how a layout designer makes a site according to a Photoshop layout, strictly not following the block sizes on this layout, font sizes, indentation values, etc. Visually, in the end it turns out almost the same as on the layout, but it is obvious that it is not pixel-by-pixel accurate.
And is it right to make it like this? Or should the layout designer almost perfectly, literally pixel by pixel, "redraw" everything from the layout? In general, the question is: how acceptable is such liberties in work?

As they say. On average, all dimensions must be observed, with a logical adjustment for the adaptive.
How accurate should the match be?
It is impossible and unnecessary to make a site pixel by pixel with a layout, and there are reasons for this. One of them is the specifics of how fonts are displayed in different browsers and operating systems. For example, if the layout in Chrome is made exactly according to the model, then in Safari the elements may differ.
Rubber imposition also does not allow to achieve complete similarity. The reason is that the designer only prepares layouts in a few sizes. For example, 320px for mobile, 768px for tablet, and 1440px for computer screens. This is enough to test a fixed or responsive layout. But a page that resizes elements and rebuilds grids based on the width of the browser window will be different from the layout in intermediate states.
Don't try to get a perfect match: in a real commercial development small discrepancies in indentation are allowed. For example, horizontal error up to 1-2px and vertical error up to 5px. It is more important to learn to understand the very principle of using PerfectPixel.
The question is still in the quality of the assembly of the layout. Photoshop, of course, is not a friend here at all, unlike Figma or Sketch where all particles are easily parameterized and reused. In general, font sizes, line height should match the layout, padding - at least with a small gap of up to 5 pixels. In general, when working with FS, sometimes the only option is to overlay
