How about storing data in text files?

let's say I have problems storing data in PlayerPrefs, I won't go deep, I solved the data (user's achievements, his completed rooms, as well as purchased items stored in a text file?
At least my room maps are read from a text file and there are no problems no ....
The question here is secondary - can they then change the data there? And if so, how can you encrypt so that they cannot change them?

Ps - Although, as for me, whoever has money and is ready to pay will not go into the files and change something there, and those who do not have money or do not want to spend from them and so you can’t stretch them .....)))
