High ping in vpn channel, normal outside

There is an openvpn server on mikrotik. Other Mikrotiks cling to him. So, the ping to the first client microtic on the external IP address is 1-2 ms, on the internal 2-3 ms. Ping to the second client microtic on the external IP address is 39-41 ms, on the internal 112-144 ms (although it sometimes drops to 70 ms, but rarely and for a short time)
Why can such a difference be with the second client on the internal network ??

Encryption, my friend, is not for you to pick up chupachups from a child. =) Add syudyt routing and your percentage will be a good obscenity to cover you. And as I understand it, you don’t have CCR 1036 there, but for example RB 2011. Maybe the gurus will correct me if I’m wrong.

Are compression and encryption enabled?
If you turn them off / reduce, does something change?

piz.c. kindergarten rowanberry. the person was persuaded to report what kind of equipment he had after a month. looking at this "server equipment" and listening to what encryption is also enabled .. I want to hug him and cry. no stop. sob! we'll spend another month to find out how many open connections he has through all this goes. In short, by the end of the year we will close the topic.

Tools>Profile we press start and we look who loads the processor. In my case it was DNS. Didn’t disable external connections, which is why ping sank
