"High Definition Render Pipeline" or "Lightweight"?

Hi comrades, are there experienced in this new technology?
For a PC game, such as an open world game, would it make sense to use High Definition? Or stop at Lightweight?
Of course you want quality.
But as I correctly understood from the description, "High Definition" only works on NEW PCs, where DirectX 11 and 12, and medium PCs come with DirectX 9.
It turns out that this technology is needed by TRIA games that dictate trends and make games for cool PCs right? But if, for example, I'm an indie developer, it's more profitable for me to do it on Lightweight in order to reach a large audience (old and medium PCs).
