C++ / C#

Is Learning C# by Andrew Stillman a good book for a teapot?

Actually, the question is whether it is suitable, I never did programming, I decided to start, goals: learn to write programs and master the unity engine. I also wanted to add one "flattering" review that forced me to leave this post here, I quote: "The mention was removed from the description and from the cover that this book is intended only for Windows 8.
Also, the translators (editors) did not indicate that the training applications offered by the book so much outdated that the book is useless.
Also, about a third is allocated to C # itself in the book. Everything else is learning xaml.
Actually, the name is not correct initially. Visual C # is studied here, not C #.
Which, by the way, as it turned out, was also indicated in the original edition of the book, but in this one it is simply cut from the description.
Actually, if you bought a book, you can safely install Windows 8.1 while it is being delivered"
Please chew the fool and if there is literature that you could recommend, recommend)

Well, everything is difficult.
Well, set yourself the goal of the project. You start cutting it out
Stumbled upon a problem - google it. If you google well, and not just a plus solution on SO, then you can discover a new technique / approach / class / pattern / term. Read about it and apply it.
From the first time, all the same, a beautiful clean code will not work (even after the tutorial)
But:
a) there is something to show bate
b) having practical experience, it’s easier for you to find an example of using everything that you read from Schildt. Yes, delegates and events are useless things in a calculator. We need a more complicated system for such examples
. So do it.
In a word, reading the textbook is good. I also read. But reading doesn't preclude practice right now.
