Hetzner Cloud, how to expand the volume of the main volume?
Good afternoon.
There is a server on Hetzner Cloud cx21 (ubuntu)
It has 20GB of disk space in the database.
When buying additional space, how do I expand the main volume?
Because as there was 20 GB of space for the site, it remains so.

You need to understand how a new location is added: a) if as a new virtual disk, then we format it into the desired fs and mount it where we need to increase the space; b) if the existing disk increases, then we expand the physical volume, then we expand the fs.
Apparently in your case, option "a" is suitable
. condition: if lvm is used, then we add a new disk to the volume group and expand lv, and then fs.
With such questions, you should contact Hetzner support, in fact, you also pay money for this. Moreover, this is just Linux, and not some highly specialized product.
there was no way
to either expand your virtual machine to grow the root partition, or move the site to a new partition and free up space on the root
