Heroku - does it have its own server with a database?

There is a site written with functionality in PHP, javascript and AJAX. To load content, I have a local server with a database on my computer (I use openserver). Maybe a noob question, as far as I understand, Heroku also has something like a database where I can transfer my content, right?
