Hello, please tell me how to more effectively understand the school course of mathematics?

1. Read -> practice?
2. Practice -> read?
After all, superficial knowledge remained.
At this time, I am acting according to plan No. 1
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I
take knowledge from the site: interneturok.ru I
started from the 5th grade.
I am a 3rd year student specializing in Software Engineering.
Why am I asking this question:
1. I have 2 reasons:
a) I can not determine what I know from the school course.
b) There is a fear of missing something if I start with not understood topics, so I decided to learn everything from
the beginning 2. These simple topics from grade 5 already piss me off
Can Scanavi help me to STRETCH my brains in parallel with interneturok.ru?

And how did you enter the 3rd year and finish your studies if you don’t know the school course?

It will be more useful if you take a real and not trivial problem from software engineering and try to solve it. And all the gaps in the school course will come out by themselves. This is where you can take it.
And in the third year of the university, I force myself to solve problems of the fifth grade ... It's kind of ... sad.

The most effective way is to look around. Everything you see next to you is mathematics.

Solve olympiad problems. In them, you will need not just to substitute the formula, as preparation for the exam requires, but the real possession of the concepts studied.
If you can’t solve a problem for a long time or feel that some knowledge is missing, start reading. But! Not just read, but deduce all the evidence yourself. Make sure that every thought of the author is extremely clear to you.
