Heavily truncated Home screen in Android?

Greetings colleagues! I need a greatly simplified version of the Android desktop (home screen): - I need
to remove the notification panel (the one on top with icons, clocks, etc.)
, changing all desktop icons by the user.

ADWLauncher EX can hide the notification bar and lock the desktop to change desktop icons and widgets. It is installed from the market and then installed as the default launcher the first time you press the Home button.
