HDD + M.2 SSD - RAID or AHCI?
There is a laptop Asus K501UX with SATA-III HDD 1TB + SATA-III M.2 SSD 256 GB.
Win10 is ported to M.2, in May there will probably be a multiboot with kubuntu. On the HDD - all sorts of rubbish.
The bios defaults to the sata mode of the RAID controller.
Does it make sense to change to AHCI, and if so, how? By setting AHCI in the bios, I got a BSoD with Inaccessible_Boot_Device.
UPD. Yes, it has. As written in https://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/15006-a... you just boot into safe mode, then back, and everything is ok. To boot into safe mode, it is not even necessary to use the console command, after the second BSoD win10 itself offers boot modes.

UPD2. However, with this transfer of the system to an SSD, windows 10 will not be able to update to the new release on its own when it comes out.

AHCI is desirable but not required.
TRIM only works in AHCI.
You can change it in the BIOS, then rearrange the system.
In order not to get a drawdown in the write speed on the SSD when working without TRIM, leave an unallocated piece of the disk - 10-15GB.
