Have I chosen the right components for the CNC laser engraver?

I assemble according to these drawings and this is my first micro "machine" for laser engraving (paper cutting). Previously, there was no experience working with Arduino, so a lot of questions arise when choosing electronic components. Thanks to the article @alexraven , with its help I typed the following items on eBay:
1. Laser diode 808nm 300mW IR Laser Diod .
The article generally uses 200mW, I think that 300mW should be enough for this project for the eyes.
2. Laser controller Laser Diod Driver .
There are more expensive ones on eBay ( 1 , 2 , etc. ).) controllers with and without heatsinks, in this regard, the question is - will this model not melt? Is this generally what you need or is it just for "flashlights"? Will he be able to work for a long time turned on?
3. Housing for laser diode Laser Diod House .
Will it melt from a 300mW diode?
4. Goggles so as not to be accidentally left without eyes.
Do they protect? Or would you recommend another model?
5.Arduino UNO ATmega328P CH340G UNO R3 .
Do I need some other piece of hardware like a programmer for this piece of iron? They write that XLoader allows you to do without it. Is it so?
6. Controller for controlling stepper motors EasyDriver .
Again, there are other options , how are they different from EasyDriver?
I would appreciate any good advice on this whole project.

3. This will not melt, but whether it will be good to remove heat - this needs to be clarified
. 4. Select glasses for a specific laser wavelength.
5. For arduino, the programmer is not needed.

@daapp About goggles, by the way, a very valuable remark! I changed the model to this one , the previous version was suitable for protection against lasers with visible light, and the diode I chose was already in the IR range, i.e. those glasses would be useless.

I found another similar interesting project The MicroSlice , where you can also peep the components used. Why choose infrared laser diode? Isn't it safer to use a red laser in the visible range?

As for points, it's very important. I slightly set my retina on fire by observing without glasses the focused point of a half-watt 808 nm laser on a white piece of paper, a finger and other similar objects. That is, it was precisely scattered radiation, and not a direct hit of the beam into the eye. I realized that there was a hole in the retina, only a few days later.

We also need stepper motors themselves) Well, frame details
