Has Google stopped displaying Google+ user recommendations in snippets?

For some reason, I can’t find any recommendations from Google+ users, although I’m sure that I’m correctly authorized in my Google+ account.
We are talking about recommendations like those underlined in the screenshots below:

Does anyone have any thoughts on this issue? Maybe someone saw the news in which they promised to cancel recommendations in snippets?

Yes, they admitted that it was not effective/useful/profitable and turned this feature off.
