Has anything changed in network programming since 2007?

Found on the shelf the book "Unix. Development of network applications" of 2007. It describes the TCP/IP protocols and sockets. Does it make sense to read it, or has something fundamentally changed since then?

Fundamentally small.
IPv6 has appeared, but a complete transition to it is not yet soon, and it is not a fact that it will take place at all - perhaps IPV4 will be redone. And the difference in terms of applied development is small.

RFC 793 describing TCP, already in 1981 :) Well, the calls could change, others could appear, the abyss of those that are described. But the principle has not changed.
