In minimized mode, windows are not drawn. Nothing to broadcast.
That is, the application can only perform internal calculations, while the graphics are resting at this time.
You may even notice a drop in load when minimizing if it's some kind of game or something graphically complex, where frames with high fps are constantly updated.
