Has anyone had experience integrating a chatbot with a knowledge base? If yes, what tools did you use?

Hello everyone,
there is a company with about 5k employees.
Of course, people have various questions: how to arrange a vacation, how to apply for a business trip, how to get some kind of certificate, who is the chief accountant, and so on.
Example of a case: a user writes "business trip" in a chat and the bot offers him
We planned to make a bunch: some kind of smart (ai / smart) chatbot + knowledge base, from where it will all be drawn.
I found various solutions on the Internet, in the form of a chat bot with hardwired answers to questions, someone integrated KMS Lighthouse and Alice, but there is a description of how to sell, everything can, everything can, but to feel - buy.
But most of all I liked the bot on egov.kz, there you enter the word "address reference", for example, and it displays approximately what you are looking for in the form of links that you can read there.
Has anyone done something similar? If yes, on what? Can you share your experience/links?
Can you recommend any tool that you have actually used in practice?

I would take any database with an API and write a simple bot to fit my needs. You still have to change over time, the Wishlist will grow and there will be not only a knowledge base
