Has anyone done dns with geo-ip?

That is, for people from America, give the IP address of the site in America, for people from Russia, the IP address of the server in Russia.

How did it work?
Where did you get the geo ip base for the dns server?

Usually done on pdns+geo backend.
In decent ADCs (like ef five, radar, etc.) there is such a function out of the box, usually called the “GSLB” type.
