Hardware router with a margin of safety

Good afternoon, dear colleagues!
I had a need to replace an obsolete morally and physically system unit that performed the functions of a router in one of the branches with something more reliable. The branch for 15 computers is connected to the Internet through the central office via a data transmission channel.
At the moment, there are 2 options: either buy a server system unit like this (the price of 1.5-2 thousand USD scares away), or find a good hardware router.
But there is one more thing: this remote point where the router will be purchased may soon move into the same room with our head office, and then I would like to replace the system unit that routes the Internet and other points inside the head office with this hardware router . Then the load on it will increase to 50 computers.
In general, as always, I want to eat a fish and sit in the Kremlin :)
I will be glad if you help me in choosing.

PS And if this router has a port for Fiber Channel, it will be great, as it will allow you to get rid of the Chinese converter :)

if this router has a port for Fiber Channel

Does the router have an FC port? What for?
Or are you confusing FC and ethernet on optics?
Now they will probably recommend Mikrotiks, but I am a mono-vendor person.

The CISCO892F-K9 has an SFP port and costs about $1k in stores. The performance is about 50mb / s, is that enough? This is not a delink - when overloaded by the processor, it will not hang and die.
Well, a true hardware router will cost a little more than $1k. A zero or two more.

And yes, Mikrotik. They also have optical ports.

It all depends on the budget, I wouldn’t take D-Link, ZyWall will be a sufficient solution for you in a small office, but if you want to use it in the future, taking into account the expansion, then put a more serious piece of iron, Cisco, for example, which was advised by JDima , it will be ideal in management, and there will never be problems with documentation.

What should he be able to do, what network load is planned, approximate PPS?
