Hardware for Asterisk?

Good afternoon, tell me what hardware is needed for normal operation of asterisk? About 5-6 internal lines and 5 external lines are planned, call recording. Approximately how much space is needed for the system itself, call recordings - the last 5 days? Which drive is better to take HDD or SSD?

With your needs, almost anyone, even on Atom, can easily handle it.

www.citilink.ru/catalog/computers_and_notebooks/computers/704171/ will this be enough? Enough space 4Gb? ssd will not die quickly if you overwrite conversations?

You can also take a 64gb ssd, not the first freshness, for example.
It all depends on the volume of conversations, 16-32 may not be enough for recording. Well, in general, the minimum ssd for the system, plus a small screw thread for talking.
Although, on the other hand, a 2-4 gig flash drive for some kind of asterisknow (quite easily and quickly unfolds, steers on the web, only updates from the console) is enough plus a broom for talking, in theory, even an old one for 80 may be enough

There is an excellent book from the authors of Asterisk, in which, in addition to describing the architecture and principles of operation, they also describe what needs it has.
For your needs, a system unit on an atom with a lousy screw, with a total cost of around 10K, is enough.

Tell me how to split the disks. Worth SSD + HDD On the SSD is asterix, and on the HDD I want to write calls.
