If you mean the situation when nginx is installed as a frontend to Apache, and both of them are on the same machine, then yes, it makes sense to disable it. And it turns out that the data is compressed, shifted from the left pocket to the right, unpacked, then compressed again and sent to the client. If the servers are located on different machines, it may make sense to compress, you need to check on the spot.
