GRUB issue in XMBClive 10.1 (Ubuntu 10.04)?
I installed xbmclive (tired of tormenting myself with installing and configuring from under a clean axis), but one problem appeared: instead of the grub menu, a black screen with a blinking cursor - the download is not going on.
I tried various options with modeset, disabling acpi, installing the bootloader on different disks - nothing works.
If you use the "Boot from hard disk" item from the same livecd, then a working grub opens, where when you press "e" I see all the shenanigans that I try through GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT, for example. And then everything is loaded. And here with the screw in any way. And pressing the shift button doesn't change anything either.
Haven't seen this problem before on the same machine. Even when installing clean ubuntu 10.4.
Mother Intel Atom D945 GCLF.
Does anyone know about this or have had similar problems?
