It will not work with other people's videos. In yours, you write ExternalInterface, and you can access the video through JavaScript, assign variables and objects.

afaik, debug player allows you to inject your code into almost any movie.
those. theoretically, such a plugin / addon based on the flash player debug can be done.
but I haven't heard of such a thing.
